The Pays de la Loire and Brittany regions are partners of the OCEANERA-NET Cofund European project. For this project, aiming to boost MRE innovation, the two regions have just been awarded a trophy by France Magazine.

The OCEANERA-NET fund, supported by nine territories*, is now € 18 million with co-financing from the European Union (33% of the total budget). It consists of a transnational call for projects for the demonstration and validation of ocean energy technologies. The Pays de la Loire Region currently contributes € 1.5 million. The project is managed by the Pays de la Loire regional agency.

At the Regions of France annual convention, held on Wednesday the 27th of September, the Pays de la Loire and Brittany were awarded a trophy by France Magazine (Energy Transition category) for this initiative, which represents a new action lever to develop the MRE sector.

The results of the call for projects will be announced in January 2018.
